Nearly four decades ago, Steve Dobbyns founded Jamax Forest Solutions with the belief that private landowners needed a dedicated forestry advocate to help manage their properties.

He mastered thoughtful land management practices, including harvesting mature trees and promoting new growth, creating a sustainable cycle that benefits clients, the landscape, wildlife and the environment. Now joined by his son Jak, an Environmental Scientist, the company has grown, matured and evolved into one of Australia’s leading ecological forestry management firms.

Jak Dobbyns

Forestry Consultant

Joining Jamax Forest Solutions in 2022, Jak is a qualified Environmental Scientist with a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management, majoring in Sustainability, from the University of Newcastle. He recently completed his Graduate Diploma in Bushfire Protection, bringing fresh expertise in sustainability and bushfire management to the company.
